about the wood:

the wood used in these bar stools is salvaged from old fishing vessels found along coastline of the java sea. the wood has been stripped back to it’s original form leaving beautiful markings from the bolts used to hold these shipping vessels together. this is a combination of two hardwoods that have been used throughout history to build boats in this region

care instructions:

a simple clear water-base top coat has been applied by hand to protect the surface of the wood from easily marking. given any major markings during the life of the wood, it can easily be re finished by simply sanding the wood back, and applying another coat of a clear water-base finish.
